Security Researchers and Open Source Gurus in NYC!!

NopSec is currently looking for consultants (both full time and on a contract basis) that have the passion of IT security and are gurus in open source technologies.

The consultants need to have at least one year of experience with:

  1. Pen Testing and security vulnerability assessment of various part of corporate networks and web applications (external, internal, wireless, VoIP, etc.)
  2. Be knowledgeable of security vulnerability research techniques and exploitation such as fuzzing, buffer overflows, heap overflows, exploit writing, etc.
  3. Be passionate about Open Source security Tools such as: Snort, Nessus/OpenVAS, Nmap, OSSIM. WiKID, Untangle, Splunk, and other open source security tools used in the security audit progession.
  4. Be knowledgeable about various OS internal workings such as Linux, UNIX, BSD, Solaris, Windows.
  5. Be a team player, communicative and passionate about this type of work.

Senior Sales Account Executive

Position: Senior Sales Account Executive
Location: New York, NY
Duration: Full-Time
Compensation: Competitive, base plus commission over $100k+

NopSec Inc. is an IT security service provider based in New York City.  As a trusted information security advisor, NopSec provides risk-based IT security assessment services and open-source security solutions.  We are seeking an experienced sales account executive to join our sales team.

Responsibilities:

  1. New business prospecting and development, including cold calling; scheduling client introductions and meetings; and preparing presentations, proposals, and bid specifications to strategically win new business.
  2. Attend sales meetings/calls, deliver solution based value sales presentation.
  3. Maintain accurate and timely contacts and activity data in CRM system.
  4. Participating in trade shows, exhibits, and product demonstrations, promoting company image and products.
  5. Understanding of basic selling skills, with exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication abilities to work within a professional, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree, or related work experience.
  2. 2 or more years’ business-to-business selling experience
  3. Proven track records to meet or exceed sales quota
  4. Superior knowledge of sales techniques including cold-calling, networking, lead generation, all with the ability to capture and close the deal.
  5. General knowledge of IT security with basic concept of gateway security, end-point security, firewalls, IDS/IPS is preferred
  6. Strong work ethic and integrity, team player is a must
